UPDATE ON DAHLIA: since she's moved in, she's slowly become a combo if hippie mom and stepford wife (nothing to be worried about, it's legit just how she is.) The house is vacuumed and dusted every day. The kitchen and bathrooms are cleaned. If you leave it out, she will do your laundry. There are fresh flowers in multiple rooms in the house and they are GORGEOUS.
There is usually one kind of grab and go snack (fruit salad, or a baked good, or kale chips) available at all times, and there's dinner ready for everyone every evening. No need for a sit down meal, but it's there. There are full plates, in the fridge, labeled for each person who wasn't at home at dinner time.

* it's infinitely easier to style for the stereotypical female gender than the typical male gender. there are male clothes but it's more of a pain in the arse. BUT you can dl a lil browser add on to easily copy and add the clothing/items you want to the site, and make sets from that :))))))))))

If you're not all familiar with letnotmeet, YOU SHOULD BE (also nosleep, but that can be the subject of another best of~ creepy post ;D). It's a subforum on Reddit, where people post "true" stories of real-life creepy events and people (nosleep is the subreddit dedicated to "true" stories about things like ghosts and the like).
SO, since several of our players are going to be meeting one another for the first time next week (including moi!), it seemed like a GREAT time to have a list of the best creepy people stories! Okay, so that's the plot dropbox but we're easy-going that way. We'll see about doing these once a month to keep the gun rolling, so throw as many suggestions in as you see fit ;D

It seems there's a bus stop in England that's being called "home" by a lone copy of Hellraiser on VHS. That's a photo – courtesy of Peckham Peculiar – of the VHS which was reportedly first spotted on top of the bus stop in London.
The copy has come and gone…and no one knows its story.
A Twitter chronicle of this Hellraiser VHS' story is amusingly recounted via Timeout.
Basically, there was one copy spotted. Then two. Then both went missing. Then one appeared. It was replaced and so on and so on and so on… The VHS has suffered weather damage and one tweet even says the cover had blown open only to reveal Hellraiser II was inside.
A copycat started placing a copy at another bus stop. Then it gets weirder…
A tree apparently fell near the bus stop. A bicyclist claims he fell off his bike near there.

HEY GUYS! Real quick since we had some questions on it due to having players on different continents and timezones etc, we'll be doing activity checks tomorrow, but your timestamps for the posts need to be in January :). You'll be linking us to your activity (your post/narrative/scene/whatever) and it should be easy-peasy!
ANYWAY! we're starting a new tradition the last Friday of every month -- creepy posts! Since this is a horror game, we figured it was only fitting to have some OOC posts crop up dedicated to all things spooky, creepy, scary, you name it! And if one of you wants to make the next post, just let us know! It's pretty simple: make a post with something creepy (a true story, a trailer for a new scary movie, a list of the most popular urban legends, WHATEVER!), and then the post is basically just for us to chatter about our favorite scary stuff -- gifs, movies, books, posts on /nosleep or /letsnotmeet, real things that have happened to us, etc etc! And yes, this idea was shamelessly stolen from ONTD :D. Anyway, we thought it would be a fun way for us to all relax at the end of the month and get to talk with each other/maybe get to know each other a bit without having to use chatrooms and the like :D.
