"I just know what you're like," Myka said with a soft chuckle before going back to kissing Pete. Kissing him was wonderful, and even if she was stressed or nervous, it always seemed to put her at ease because she knew he cared.
When they parted, she reached up to cup his cheek. "Icky boy stuff, huh?" she asked. "Sounds like being around me really has rubbed off on you."
She snuggled close to Pete and rested her head in the crook of his neck. When he told her what Artie had said, she grinned widely. "Really? It feels like it's been forever since we've had time off."
Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and smiled, thinking about where she'd want to go. She knew she'd want to go somewhere with Pete, but they couldn't go far because they would only have a day or two.
"Hmmm...well, maybe we could find a bed and breakfast somewhere. Maybe in the Black Hills?" she suggested. "We could just take it easy for a few days."
