After parking the car, Jack got out and stood behind it with Myka and the others. He peeked over and watched as MARTHA started to circle one of the buildings. "I'm guessing they're in there," he said before looked at the others. "Okay. We're going in through the front. It might be booby trapped so be careful."
"I'll go first," the other Jack said as he straightened his posture. "If there are booby traps, I'll set them off so the rest of you can get in."
"But some of them could be deadly," Jack pointed out.
"I know," the other Jack merely said before he started toward the building.
Shrugging, Jack followed, keeping low and keeping his ears open. As they got closer, he could hear a man yelling, threatening someone to stop. Jack felt his heart start to race as all of them ran to the front door. The other Jack kicked it open, and Jack winced a little, waiting for something to happen. When nothing did, he rushed in, his gun drawn.
Just then, he saw MacPherson start to make a move into one of the rooms. Raising his gun, he shot the man in the shoulder, which made him spin around. "John, Myka! Take care of him! I'll get Fred and Cait," he said as he rushed past MacPherson with the other Jack, and into the bedroom.
The moment he saw Fred, he lowered his gun and went over to her. Jack wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly. "You okay?" he whispered.
Meanwhile, the other Jack went over to Cait and crouched down beside her. "Cait, hon?" he whispered as he ran his hand over her hair. He then gently pulled her up and cradled her in his arms. "What's wrong?"
"He poisoned me," she quietly said.
"What?" Jack said before he looked out at John and Myka. "Son of a bitch poisoned Cait."
