"I'll be there in ten minutes," Jack promised after John told him what was going on while he paced around the office, not paying attention to the others. He wanted to do something. He wanted to find his wife, but instead, he was here, doing the only thing he could do at the moment. "I have a lock on your location through your mobile."
"Ten...?" he started to say before cutting himself off. After their run-in the previous year, John had learned that sometimes it was better not to ask Jack about some things. "You should know that this place is--."
"It's fine. Just hang on. I'll be there soon."
With that, the line went dead, and John snapped his phone shut before looking at the others. Pete was talking about someone not wanting to help while MARTHA was nudging Jack like a lost puppy - almost like she knew what was going on.
"Jack--the other Jack said he'd be here in about ten minutes," John said.
"What? Who's coming here?" Artie said, looking at him. "John, the situation is bad enough. I don't think--."
"Artie, don't," Myka said, putting her hand on his arm. "We're going to need all the help we can get, and if--."
Just then, there was a cracking sound and a bright flash, and a man and a woman stepped out of seeming nowhere into the room. John felt his eyes widen for a moment - he'd seen a lot since joining the Warehouse, but nothing like this.
"John," Jack Harkness said, hurrying over to him and pulling him into his arms. John didn't fight it, wrapping his arms around him in an embrace. "We'll find her."
