Caitlin shifted a little so she could see what Fred was doing. She had to admit her friend was pretty inventive. She then looked at the bed frame and nodded. Caitlin suddenly wished she had brought along the little tool kit she had. Her dad had gotten it for her, saying all women should know how to use tools and fix things. But of course, she hadn't expected to be kidnapped.
"My dad would love you. He has a thing for people who can make weapons out of stuff," Caitlin quietly said.
Just then, her stomach seemed the lunged a bit and she softly groaned. Once again, she tried her best to calm herself. She wasn't going to die. She had to believe she was going to be all right. There was no way she was going to leave John. He was pretty much stuck with her. Looking at Fred, she held up a hand.
"I'm fine," she said, not wanting her friend to stop working on her project.
Caitlin closed her eyes again. She was about to say something to Fred but stopped when she heard a soft humming noise. Opening her eyes, she looked around, seeing there was nothing in the room that could be making the noise. Looking at Fred, she furrowed her brow.
"Do you hear that? It kind of sounds familiar, doesn't it?" she whispered.
