Caitlin leaned against her husband and listened to the rest of them talk. She wasn't really sure what to make of Artie's confession. Caitlin wanted to trust him because he was their boss, but she wasn't sure if she could at the moment. She knew Mrs. Frederic and him knew all about their pasts so it was only fair they know about Artie's. And it wasn't because she was nosy either. She just wanted to be able to trust him.
"Don't you all think you're being a little hard on him?" Pete suddenly asked from where he was standing. "C'mon, the guy made a mistake. He knows it was wrong. He has moved on from it. If we were all changed by our pasts, then a lot of people wouldn't be where they are today. It's obvious he's remorseful and embarrassed by it. And what he did isn't going to affect us. The Soviets aren't the ones trying to take over the Warehouse or trying to kill us. Let the poor guy have his dignity."
Caitlin looked over at Pete for a moment and sighed. It made sense that he would be the one to stick up for Artie. "I think we should trust him. But I also think he needs to know we care about him and it's okay for him to tell us these sort of things," she said.
Jack nodded. "Plus, we need to look past this and at the bigger picture," he said. "What do we do with MacPherson? Do we wait and let him come to us or do we help them look for him?"
