Pete was glad Myka was there to keep him steady, and to get the food. He quietly thanked her and sat down before taking a bite of his sandwich. The vibe was still pulling at him, but he couldn't tell who it was about, or what was going to happen. All Pete knew was that it wasn't going to be good.
"I think I might have to disagree with you, Artie," Jack said from where he was sitting. "John, Myka, Pete and I are the only ones with formal training when it comes to protecting people and things. Yes, Fred and Cait can both shoot guns and take care of themselves, but it's not their main skill. If you want to protect the Warehouse, then you need to play to everyone's strengths. And if that means setting booby traps, and using a few artifacts, then so be it. You have to learn how to trust us, Artie."
Silence fell over the office and all of them looked to Artie to see what he was going to say. Finally, he nodded and cleared his throat. "I'll bring that up to Mrs. Frederic," he said before he started to eat his food again.
Pete took another bite of his sandwich before setting it down on his plate. "And I think all of us should stick together. Use the buddy system. Don't leave the Warehouse or Leena's without someone with you. And always have a gun or Tesla on you," he said.
"That sounds like an excellent idea, Agent Lattimer," Mrs Frederic said as she stepped into the office. She then put her hand up. "Please, continue with your lunch. I can wait."
