Fred knew that she was taking a big chance when she started reading Artie the riot act about the way he had been acting, but she couldn't take it anymore. Something was going on, and someone they all had come to care about was acting weird and obviously was very upset. They needed to do something.
Even if it was sticking him under a goo shower.
She looked up at Jack, grateful when he supported her. And then when Regan let him have it too, it seemed he finally understood. They weren't stupid, and they deserved to know what was going on so they could help him.
When Artie threw the file on the table, Fred looked over at it, her eyes widening before she looked over at Jack. He was right - that was the guy that had approached them in Minnesota. Fred had felt really unnerved by him, and it seemed that she had been right to feel weird about that run-in.
"He's dangerous. If he thinks you have something he needs, he'll use you. If he thinks you're standing in his way, he will kill you. In cold blood and without mercy." Taking a deep breath, Artie looked over at Fred and Jack. "The only reason you're still alive is probably because he's hoping to use one of you to gain access to the Warehouse. That's why I'm not supposed to let you leave the area - so he can't do that."
"But if he's that dangerous, doesn't that mean he'll do what he feels he has to?" Myka asked. "Doesn't that mean there's a chance he'll come here?"
"That...is exactly what I think he might do," Artie said, rubbing his hand over his face. "But at least it'll be on our turf."
