Pete grinned when Myka tugged him toward the mini-golf course. He had nothing against aquariums bur he wanted to have fun. Looking at Myka, he knew he would make it up to her. As they went over to the clerk, he looked over his shoulder and smiled when he saw a store he could get her something.
"Thanks, Myka," he said after the clerk had given them their putters and balls. "You know, there's an aquarium in Rapid City. Maybe someday when Artie has us doing inventory, we can sneak off and go." He gave her grin, knowing it wouldn't be easy for them to sneak off.
As they stepped onto the course, Pete looked at Myka and raised his eyebrows. "You know, I was the mini-golf champ in college," he said as he gave her a grin. He stepped a little closer and placed his mouth by her ear. "We should make a bet. Loser has to...do the other's paperwork for a week."
Stepping back, he raised his eyebrows and waited for her answer.
