While the IS was, frequently, the bane of his existence, Ernie really quite appreciated their presence, just this once.

His eyes had adjusted to the darkness, enough so that he could see at least the outline of Hazel and he moved his arm so that he could very lightly lift Hazel's chin up, so that she was looking up at him.
Ernie really didn't know if the IS was still right out the door, and truthfully, he didn't care in the least. If they were going to get caught, they might as well be doing something fun in the process. And if they didn't get caught, well...
...all the better, really.
It was still too dark for him to really read Hazel's expression, and he rather hoped he didn't get slapped for it. But he'd made up his mind.
