Parvati's birthday had been a rather good one, and though she'd already been of age for a year, there was something exciting about being eighteen. It was an exciting year, the one where everyone left Hogwarts and started their real adult life. And though she still had a few months, and she had no idea what her post-Hogwarts life would be like, with the world a bit topsy-turvy, it was still exciting.
It wasn't until about halfway through the day that she realized that Seamus didn't know it was her birthday. She felt a little bit awkward about it, as she didn't exactly want to tell him, because then it would sound like she expected something. And it wasn't like he was really obligated to know, since they'd only been dating for just over a month. But if the roles had been reversed she wouldn't have wanted to miss it. Regardless, she'd decided the easiest thing would be to just sidestep the issue completely.
That evening she'd run into an IS member in the hallway, which had left her frazzled after a number of questions about prefect rounds the week before. Stepping through the portrait hole she spotted Seamus and headed over to him. "Evening," she said with a weak smile, trying to wipe the interaction she had out of her mind. "How are you?"
