There were little things JD disliked more than formal events. She had always done a good job at dodging the events with ease, saying her father was sick or she had a wedding for her brother. This year, with the close of another successful season for the Harpies, she found her self with an invitation and no way of getting out of it.she sighed at the thought of suffering yet another fancy gathering, but obliged and went to see Alberta for a design. It was amazing what the women could do with thread and cloth. Julie had little passion for design, she found it dull and a waste of time, Alberta was just amazing at her craft and very much deserved to have one of the top businesses in England when it came to magical clothing lines.
She had made an appointment that was set up with her meeting Oliver in for dinner not too far from alley. She eyed the people as she made her way to the door. Through the window she could see the elderly woman sipping tea. She always seemed so regal. It was almost like visiting royalty with her. JD remembered being blown away at her composure regardless of how unruly the children around her could be. The blond pushed through the door and smiled at the shop owner sweetly.
"How have you been, ma'am," she asked brightly as she pulled off her light jacket and over-the-shoulder bag and placed them at her feet. In the bag were clothes that would make the fitting a bit more accurate, including e silver heels she was told to wear.
