Rounding the corner that led into the dungeons proper, he uttered a quick Lumos bathing the area in bluish light. The scene he illuminated was disturbing enough that he instantly wished he could forget it. Several first years, pale and miserable looking, were chained to the wall and crying. "Holy fuck," he swore instinctively at what he could only assume was the Carrows' twisted handiwork.
In his peripheral vision, he caught sight of a larger form wielding something in its hand. Instinctively, he cried "Expelliarmus!, sending some sort of metallic object hurtling across the hallway only to have it clunk against the wall and fall to the floor.
