Tonks' face flared in anger, though her features were distinctly overshadowed by her hair turning a similar shade of orange-red and curling on the ends.
She managed to control her tone when she spoke, but only barely. Remus no doubt knew her well enough by now to detect that the quaver was part fury, part heartbreak.
"What I want you to do is something no man is capable of, and that's admit that you're wrong."
For all her forced calm, Tonks turned from where she'd been sitting on the couch, nearly sloshing coffee over the many-stained cushions.
"You're more than a man, Remus, not less. And I love you, and you wouldn't be here right now if you didn't love me, too."
