Neville had kept his head down after his own detention, though he'd been surprised by how actually suffering at the hands of the Carrows - if not in as horrible a fashion as Lavender had, or Michael - steeled him that much more to do what he could to undermine them. He didn't want to get caught again, but he'd much rather suffer another detention than let any of his friends do so.
"If Travers has got something to prove, let him come and try," he said, his tone empty of bravado but quite honest. Neville's smirk at Seamus, however, was every bit that of a boy of seventeen.
"What can you possibly have done to make him angry, Seamus?"
