Who: Alicia and Charlie What: Charlie+apparating= pad crashing When: March 14, morning Where: Alicia's house Rating: O is for OOPS!
Mum had said to come home right away-as soon as possible. Of course Charlie was going to abide by her request. if He hadn't, she would probably send another Howler. It would have been nice if she waited until a bit later to send her request, though. The man had worked a long, overnight shift and was looking forward to some sleep. Sleep was a very long-lost friend in Charlie's life and that was something he did not appreciate. In the least. He was always exhausted, especially with his new routine. The colony got a few new hands, one of which already almost died. They were under his care because he had been there the longest without getting any official titles like Josef did. It was his job to be reliable (funny), professional (funnier), and respectful (not going to happen). Instead, he was himself- crude, loud and playful. And now he was missing in action. he told Josef to tell the two new guys he was eaten by a dragon, or something.
Of course, he was really heading to his mother's house. Or at least trying to. He figured a distance apparation would be the fastest way to get there but he had such bad luck with that form of travel. Usually he ended up a good distance from where he wanted to be. It was something he had been dealing with since the exam. He failed the first time and was lucky to make the second one. Charlie was just hoping he was awake enough to not end up in the middle of a train track or something horrific.
After he popped away and opened his eyes he realized that this was no where near where he wanted to be. It looked nothing like Surrey, or any place he had been before that. There were windows next to him and the man looked around the streets before peering in. Into a bed room. Oh God! In an attempt to hastily cover his eyes and look away, the man slipped on a damp curb and slammed into the door. Well, if they didn't hear me before they definitely did now.. he thought bitterly. His face was a brilliant red that matched his hair and he held his breath, waiting to calm down enought to pop away to his next point. Hopefully to his mother's kitchen.
