It was hard not a smile a little at the way Ambrose was already acting as thought she'd been involved all along. Not that she had expected him to question her motives or give her a difficult time because of all of her waffling, but it was a good feeling to be so readily accepted back in.
"Hm. I mean it's been on my mind for a while. You know, it's hard to ignore when half of my friends are involved," she said lightly. "But I did have this ridiculous, awkward run-in with Bones last week. And I wanted to do something, you know, because I swear she was up to something...it felt like fifth year. But she's a bloody Prefect, and I was out wandering the halls just as suspiciously, so what was I supposed to do? I'm not going to lie, it made me miss having the support of a group."
