Who: George Weasley, Neville Longbottom
What: There once was a plate of canary creams, a Neville Longbottom, and...an incident.
When: BACKSTORY for the Plottery: Early November, 1995
Where: Gryffindor Common Room
Rating: Probably low
George stretched and yawned widely, propping his feet up on the low coffee table in front of the blazing fire in the Gryffindor common room hearth. He was awash in a sea of parchment, having left his Charms homework to the last minute due to a new product he and Fred had been tweaking all evening. They were particularly excited about this one - it's working name was Birdie Bon-Bons - and they were looking forward to trying them out with their test subjects as soon as they could strong arm persuade a few more firsties. Granger had really been cracking down on their product testing lately, and they'd been having to get more creative to find times and places to work on their inventions. Luckily, she'd spent most of the evening in the corner of the common room muttering over something with Harry and their brother, and had paid them no mind so they'd actually gotten a good bit of work done.
Fred had headed up to bed a little while ago, but George had stayed to try to finish up their most recent assignment for Flitwick - thankfully, Charms was one of his best subjects so he thought he'd be able to finish without too much trouble. But first, he just needed a little nap. As he drifted off, he shoved his Charms text and parchments aside so that he didn't crumple them and sank back into the soft cushions of the couch. He didn't realize that Fred hadn't taken their plate of prototypes up to the dorm with him, instead leaving them on the table where they'd been working....
