Mandy watched blankly as Parvati spoke to Madame Pomfrey, and then followed her away from the doors of the hospital wing. She was having an internal fight with herself, though none of it showed on her empty features - half of her wanted to say she was fine and run far away, but the other half of her was in turmoil. Thankfully she had perfected seeming emotionless - if somewhat shaken - at a young age, and was able to hide the more serious emotions she was experiencing.
The other girl's question came to her as if in a dream, and she turned her head slowly to answer, blinking as if waking herself up. "I just..." she stopped herself, not wanting to ramble. "I can't fathom the fact that a student would perform an Unforgivable on another student." She couldn't help herself blaming it on Professor Carrow and his twister lesson plans, though saying that out loud in the halls was probably an extremely bad idea. "If I had been alone..." she trailed off again, hating her sudden inability to complete a sentence on the first try. "I'm just glad you knew what to do."
