Alicia glared up at Oliver, growling as she tugged on the jumper. Finally, finally the damn thing let go, and she got her wand out. The wind was chill; her thin shirt not providing much when it came to heat, but it did allow her better movement.
“You’re not letting them shoot at you,” she demanded, knowing full well that that had been his plan, just like her plan had been to jump in the water. Looking around her, she sought to find something to aid her in her task of getting those people out of the water, though she knew that no matter what she found it wouldn’t be enough. At least, she hoped, it would delay her need to get in the water, and perhaps that would satisfy Oliver... and maybe the moon would shine magenta tonight.
“On three,” she agreed, her eyes fixed for a moment on a rope ladder hanging from a smaller boat not too far away. Turning her head slightly, she looked at Oliver, holding his gaze for another short moment, sending him a small smile before she aimed her wand at the ladder and sent off a Diffindo, watching the ladder slither down along the side of the boat.
“Three,” she told him, and once again set off at a run, and once she reached the edge of the dock, she pointed her wand in the direction the rope ladder had been in before. “Accio rope ladder,” she muttered, and nearly jumped with joy when the item in question came zooming towards her. Only barely did she manage to duck, avoiding that it knocked her over before it fell to the ground. Pushing and kicking at the wet rope, she managed to get it completely to the edge, where she fastened it with a permanent sticking charm – right now she couldn’t care less if there was going to be a ladder stuck to the dock for the rest of time – calling out to the people in the water to get out of there.
