"Keep your head down and...damn it!" Oliver was talking to thin air. Alicia had already moved, her mind evidently already set on what Oliver referred to as her 'single-minded healer-mode'.
Muttering obscenities under his breath he followed. That mad woman was capable of doing anything if her newly adopted patients were threatened and someone had to keep her shapely behind out of the line of fire.
Zig-zagging across the dock Oliver came to a sudden halt next to Alicia just as the suitcase exploded. He shoved a scorched blouse off his arm with an impatient movement, then sent a couple of hexes right back at their attackers before ducking back behind their cover. It was only then that Oliver noticed what Alicia was doing.
"You're not jumping in there, Spinnet," he growled, unconsciously slipping back to his old 'mad Quidditch captain voice'. "Let me distract them and you levitate the people out of the water."
Too bad that almost all of Oliver's ideas for distraction involved him getting himself into the line of fire. But it either that or letting people drown. Oliver braced himself for the inevitable. "On three, okay?"
