It was just a bit of homesickness, that was all. Fleur did not need to Floo her parents right now for a call, because she knew that if she did, it would be the end to her resolve. If Gabrielle answered it would be even worse; Fleur had barely seen her little sister before she had moved to London, and she missed her enough without tacking her loneliness on top of her homesickness. No, it would be better if she didn't talk to her family right now, because it would be altogether too easy to step into the fireplace and be at home.
The next best thing to being with your family was to be with friends, but Fleur didn't have many of those in England yet. She had barely been there two weeks, so any of the friendships she had forged would be too brittle yet to handle this amount of pressure.
The alternative then would be a friend of the family, and luckily for Fleur, such a person existed. Better yet, they could be found almost next door to where Fleur worked in Gringotts. When she finished work she stopped into the bakery next door, then entered Madam Malkins with two teas and two buns.
"'Allo, Alberta," She greeted her mother's close friend with a kiss on either cheek, carefully balancing her delivery with one hand. "I 'ope I 'ave not caught you at a busy time? I 'ave tea and bakewell tart."
