When Michelle gave her a hug, it was the first time JD was able to smile, and she did into her friend's hair as the woman returned the embrace. It was not a long hold, but it was enough to prove to Julie that it was the right choice to help out. It was worth the chance of being sent to prison. If that happened, she would be able to say that she did something to show that not every was going to roll over for the Ministry. It was something she was proud of.
"You do that, and if you find any cute guys take a picture, it'll be one helluva scrap book someday."
JD lead Michelle to the door and she peaked through the window to make sure no one was around.
"Take care and keep in touch. Once you're 18, stop by as often as possible so I know you're okay. I'll keep an eye out on your parents for you."
