Who: George Weasley, Alicia Spinnet What: Hijinks and general tomfoolery. In other words, y'know, Thursday at the WWW. When: Thursday, February 17, 1998 Where: WWW in Diagon Alley Rating: Low
George shuffled out from the stockroom of the Wheezes, levitating a crate of Daydream Charms with his wand while carefully balancing a tall stack of small boxes in his other arm. Verity was waiting on a rather long line of customers at the till, and he didn't quite know where Fred had gotten himself off to, so he'd taken it upon himself to handle the re-stocking this afternoon. The Wheezes had continued to draw surprisingly good crowds, considering the way that business had started to tail off in much of Diagon, and though George and Fred's attention had been increasingly focused on Order work, the shop was still incredibly important to them. He wanted to make sure that everything looked its best.
Unfortunately, his plans were derailed when, in navigating through a particularly crowded aisle, he was jostled from behind by an overlarge wizard in indigo robes. He lost control of the crate he was levitating, sending it careening into a set of shelves. Thankfully nothing fell, but the crate settled with a resounding thump and one side dislodged, sending Daydream Charms all over the floor. Heaving a sigh and carefully setting down the boxes of Son of an Itch itching powder he'd been carrying, George got down on his hands and knees to retrieve several of the Charms that had skidded below the bottom level of the closest shelves.
"Bollocks," he muttered under his breath, hoping the customers hadn't heard him.
