"Oh," said Michelle quietly, gathering that in his case this was the truth, as opposed to hers, where she'd made something up to cover her tracks. She hadn't really thought about squibs until just now, and wondered how they were fairing under the current circumstances. She assumed they wouldn't throw them into Azkaban, but aside from that she wasn't sure if they'd just be cast aside the way they always were. It seemed likely.

In the back of her head, she was toying with the idea of asking him to cast one on her house. He seemed rather practiced at it, and he might know stronger ones than she did. But she had to know why he was, and figure out a way to ask without telling him that it was her house.
