Well, that changed things. Lavender looked at Seamus long and hard, waiting for a 'but' or an 'if' to sully his comment, but none came. After a moment, Lavender's expression softened. When he said things like that, it made her wonder why they never made a go of things. Seamus was her best male friend, was clever and funny and easy to be around, not to mention easy on the eye. Perhaps it was for all of these reasons that Lavender never wanted to risk ruining their friendship, and so she looked down, away from him.
"Right," She said. "Sorry I misunderstood. And thanks, but I don't know if I agree. I feel like I'm being judged by everyone on how I acted when I was with Ron, so I'll be lucky if any boy ever wants to go near me." She rolled her eyes at herself, laughing a little at the memory of her actions.
