"Your mum? She'll probably scream at you. I'll clear the room so she can really get into it without worrying about disturbing my parents," Lavender joked, giggling into her bottle of butterbeer, "Or I could stick around as a witness so she would have to reign it in a bit."
Lavender licked her fingers when she finished her sandwich and wasted no time in opening the picnic basket's lid once more and retrieving the rice krispy buns. "I speak the language of food, pure and simple," Lavender passed one to Seamus and unwrapped hers slowly, picking each rice krispy individually from the bun and nibbling on it.
"You don't need to punch Ron," Lavender said, "I'm over it. I know people think I'm not, but I am. It was embarrassing how it ended, and that's enough for me to know that I was wasting my time, and I don't intend on doing it any more. I'm staying single until a boy worth the effort presents himself to me."
