"No, but knowing my luck I'll have so many detentions he'll make me repeat the year," Lavender sighed, kicking out her blanket so that some of it covered Parvati. "It's a good thing I never tried out for Quidditch or joined any clubs. I'm not letting anyone down by my absence and all he can do is give me detentions. This is as bad as it can get."
Perhaps if Lavender knew the depths of her naivety, she would have been a little more careful with her behaviour. Unfortunately she had no idea just how bad it could get, so she remained stubborn. "I have so much homework, though. I might go to McGonagall and explain the situation to her. This isn't your typical detention, I think she'd understand."
