Lavender looked in the bag for a few more minutes, overcome with an urge to eat the entire thing as if she was destroying evidence. It was still before breakfast though, and she had a feeling she would need something sweet after her detention, so she closed up the bag and put it on her bedside locker. "You're the best, really. Thank you," Lavender gave Parvati's hand a squeeze, "I'll need them later."
The topic of detentions was not one that Lavender wanted to broach, and in typical youngest-and-only-girl fashion, she flounced backwards onto her bed with a groan, her hand landing on her forehead, "FOREVER," She said, "I have no idea when it's going to end, but I know it won't. This is only the beginning. I know they were only bugs, but it's the principle of the thing, you know? Next week, I bet you, he will bring out rats. Then hamsters. Then rabbits, cats, dogs, horses, unicorns, centaurs, Muggles – it won't end, Parvati. I refuse to kill anything with that Curse because that man is evil, and he's just warming us up to do something worse."
