Audrey was actually very proficient. Her mother had begun to teach her at a very young age, and though Audrey hadn't taken to it right away, years later she had developed a true talent and a legitimate hobby. Still, it wasn't something she shared with many people. Close friends, yes. Her mother, often. A boy she sort of fancied? God, no.
"Well, I'm good. And I guess I could do a song..."
Why was she intimating that she might play him something? Her mind began to race for an excuse not to do so.
"...it's not tuned, though. It's been months since I played." A lie. Audrey had tuned the guitar just the night before, and had in fact done a bit of playing in her dormitory just after. Charlie had no way of knowing this, though, she she trusted she was safe. She smiled harmlessly, scooted a bit nearer.
