The fact that Audrey hadn't pushed him away was shocking. Charlie could not remember a time where he had seen the girl this close to a boy without a book open-not even then. Sure, he had known the girl for almost six years and he had never held a full conversation with her and maybe she wasn't as shy as she came across. She wasn't about to pat himself on the back for being closer to her than any other guy he had seen or heard of.
