"He explained enough," Penny nodded, smile faltering just a bit and gaze softening as she spoke again, more quietly. "I've heard about what happened; it's absolutely horrible..." But at least Ginny was alright, and Penny knew that, and there was really no reason to dwell on just how terrible it must've been now. It was in the past, for what it was worth.
For a moment, Penny was thoughtful, thinking about the youngest Weasley. Penelope had kind of a soft spot for Ginny, although it was usually from afar. She seemed quieter than most of Percy's siblings, and even when she had found them in that abandoned classroom - and it had been her, just a week or so before Penny was petrified - she had known that Ginny wouldn't go telling anyone. She reddened a bit more at the memory, grinning once more, softly.
