Who Charlie and Oliver What Catching up When (Backdated) Saturday night Where Dingy bar in northern England Rating PG-13 to be safe
It seemed as much as Charlie tried, the man could not catch a break. There was nothing like moving back to unruly juvenile dragons after spending so long dealing with the adults. With the adults, he always knew what to expect. He knew when the males would be at their worst and how to move around the females. He liked the Greenbacks the best because they were easier to manage. They did not have as many in the colony, mostly Norwegian and Chinese lived in there. Today he had to catch a Hungarian that had gotten loose in the Welsh section. That was a nightmare. Josef, Reginald and Howland jumped in with him and an hour later, after who knows how many burns and lashes, the "little" guy was caught. For obvious reasons, he was given the night off with the rest of the guys. While they went bar-hopping in Romania, Charlie wanted to see a familiar territory and a familiar face.
It had been a long while since the last time he saw English grounds. There was nothing like a homecoming, either. Especially with his family. His mother was always so excited and made an amazing dinner. His father was happy to see him. Before he headed up to meet an old friend, he even stopped by Diagon Alley to see the twins. He knew that he missed out a lot on family time, so he tried to make his best effort to see them all whenever he touched down in the British Empire. But this trip was to see someone from a different sort of family.
The instant he found there was a chance at a day off, he sent a letter to Oliver asking if he had time to catch up. The boy had become a star, for sure, but that did not mean he did not have time for some simple fun. Every guy needed a simple time to hang out, get a drink and talk about anything but their sad parts of their lives. He knew Oliver was obsessed with his quid ditch-almost to the point of it being unhealthy. That was fine to Charlie. He missed quid ditch. It was a great past time and it never got boring, especially as a Seeker. He was always told he should have gone professional, but it was not his true passion. It was a hobby. He loved dragons, equal to how much Wood loved the sport. Charlie was sure he disappointed a lot of people when he changed his mind, but there was nothing that made him more happy now.
So the man sat down at the bar and ordered a drink. He eyes the crowd, making sure his friend would not get swamped by fangirls and fanboys. It seemed like the coast was clear.
