"He was probably terrible more often than he wasn't, though," Michelle said, thoughtfully. "And you can be great even if you die in a really silly way. Great in lots of other ways, just not in horsemanship, I suppose. So he was probably unclean most of the time, and then even when he was clean, people just assumed that he was anyways." That must have been a little challenging for him, she thought. For everyone to think that you were smelly, even when you weren't. But if he'd just bathed more often, this probably wouldn't have been an issue.
Sometimes it was a little weird for Michelle to remember that things like goblins and werewolves and unicorns were real. Her whole life prior to Hogwarts had stories about them that were purely fairy tales, and to realize that the fairy tales were true was still a little difficult to grasp at times. "Wait, which ones are kappas?" she asked, distracted from the actual topic at hand again.
