Lavender looked at the ivy as though she'd seen it for the first time, then looked at her nails. "Ew," She rubbed the leaf entrails from her palms, but the green stains under her fingernails would take a little more work, "Stupid plant. I think it won."
She began to smile, then looked at Seamus and was overcome with a rush of... something. It was kind of like regret, or anger, or bitterness, the kind of feeling you had after having a dream about fighting with someone, only to wake up still angry. Her smile vanished immediately and she looked pointedly away, her nose stuck in the air.
