Coming back from an evening at the library, Parvati gave the Fat Lady her password and ducked into the common room. It had been a long day and she was tired, so she was quite ready to kick off her shoes and get lost in the latest book from the Enchanted Encounters series. Her outlook changed, however, when she entered the room and saw what was transpiring there.
"Oh my gosh, are you finally cutting your hair?!" she exclaimed, seeing Neville sitting at Lavender's makeshift station. "Thank goodness! I didn't want to say anything, but..." she exchanged a glance with Lavender, shrugging. Neville's hair had gotten a little shaggy, and she'd thought that it could use a bit of care, but as she couldn't offer it herself, she thought that she probably shouldn't say anything. Cutting bangs she could do, but this was a bit of a larger project.
Flinging herself into an armchair near the two, she nodded reassuringly at Neville who looked perhaps the smallest bit concerned. "You're going to look smashing when she's done. Lavender's definitely the best at cutting hair among the Gryffindor seventh year girls."
