"You didn't say it would never grow back," she replied, her thoughts drifting to the various parts of her face she could lose and what her alternate lives would be like without those bits of her.
Out of all of the Houses, Mandy thought that she likes Slytherin the least. It's not that she disliked them, really, more that they could be quite rude and brash and so superior all of the time, which was unlikely to garner positive opinions, and the Quidditch team appeared to be the worst, constantly bragging and saying mean things about the other team. Honesty was all well and good, but you didn't have to be so mean about it. "They are quite unlikeable, aren't they? But I've heard you're a good captain, so I'm sure you'll be able to pull your team back together." Mandy didn't like to think about the students that hadn't come back this year, Kevin and Lisa's faces floating through her mind always upset her.
"It's terrible, you know," she finally said, pulling at a bit of grass next to her leg, her eyes downcast, "I can't...I wish everyone had come back to school."
