Max remained fairly quiet as the rest of them spoke. She knew she was going with them because she knew Rodney and Radek and knew they would go, too. There was no way in hell the IOA was going to yank her away from her boys like they had several weeks ago. Just because she finished her job fairly quickly on Atlantis didn't mean she had to leave but Woosley had told her she was a "distraction" and he needed both Rodney and Radek to be at the top of their games.
Reaching under the table, Max took Radek's hand. She went to reach for Rodney's but noticed he was furiously writing on one of the napkins. She craned her neck a bit to see what he was doing but when they started to ask Cait if she wanted to stay in the city.
"She can sit in the engineering lab," Max said. "We fitted it with these shock guard devices as an experiment. She should be fairly safe there."
"Sounds good," Cait said as she gave Max a smile.
"We have all of that figured out. Now we need a list of people we know we can trust to come with us. Also, we need a way to get the others out of the city and off the Daedalus," Steven said as he looked arounbd the table.
"I have the power to declare the city unsafe and evacuate the it," Max said. "Just get the people off the Daedalus and put them in the city and we can get rid of them that way."
"We can say the Daedalus' beam is down and get the Apollo to get the people. Then we can leave the next day. I don't want to go up against the Apollo or Ellis," Steven commented.
"And we can up our odds by using the drives to trick the radars. It'll be like solar flares messing with a satellite's signal," Rodney said as he pushed his napkin to the middle of the table so the rest o the scientists could see it. "What do all of you think?"
