The IOA had done a lot of shitty things over the years, and Sam herself had bore the brunt of a lot of those decisions as part of SG-1 with Jack, Cam, Daniel and Teal'c. The worst had been the day she had returned from Atlantis for her annual evaluation and had been told by Woolsey that she was being pulled as leader...for him. She had never felt more used in her entire life, and the only reason she had left after resigning her commission had been because of the other people in the project.
But enough was enough. The IOA had gone too far this time.
Rodney was right, though, that they would need supplies if they did what they were talking about. When Steven then mentioned the other plan that the IOA had come up with, Sam rubbed her forehead. Of course. But in a way, it seemed that they had provided them with just what they were going to need to make this work.
"Cait's right. We can do this," Sam agreed. "But we're going to need to work together, and we're going to make sure that everyone involved is in on this without reservation."
"Which means we're going to need to be careful about who we choose," John said.
Sam nodded. "And if we do this--."
"You're going to need help from the Daedalus," Steven interjected. "The moment you lift off, they're going to scramble fighters to stop you, so you'll need our help." He looked at Fred, Charlie and Jeannie. "Which means we'll have to go with them."
"I'm in," Fred said.
Sam saw Jack look over at Maggie. "Well, if our kids are going, we're going too," he said.
Maggie nodded. "There's no way we're going to let you all disappear for the rest of our lives."
