Teyla adjusted her bodice before sitting down to pull her shoes on. Her husband had teased her a few times about how she looked just like an Earth woman in the clothes that they had got to help her blend in when they went out among the regular population. She was still amazed by the huge amount of choice that humans had here when it came to clothes, food, anything. And she knew that if they were to stay here, their son would have a very good life.
But she missed her home galaxy and her people. And she wanted to be able to present her son to the Athosian elders on his first birthday as was tradition about her people. She as just grateful that Evan understood. She truly had found a good man in her husband. He was a wonderful companion and father.
Just as she finished putting on her shoes, she grinned as she heard Torren giggling happily in the other room. A few moments later, Evan brought him out and came over to her, kissing her. She smiled against his lips, returning the kiss until they both needed to breathe. She then turned and kissed Torren's forehead.
She knew that after everything that had happened over the last year, she was truly blessed to have her family.
As much as she enjoyed standing there with her husband and son, Evan was right that they needed to go, so she headed out with them to join the others. It was good to see everyone so happy that their work on Atlantis was finally completed - it had been a tough few months, she knew.
Once they arrived at the O'Neill's, Teyla caught Torren when he tried to jump out of his father's arms when he saw Belle, laughing and shaking her head.
"Oh no, little man," she said, bouncing him in her arms. "I don't think Belle wants you to try to ride her."
Carson laughed and reached over to pet Belle, who licked his face. "I'm glad to see you too, lass."
"Daniel, we finally had a chance to look at the e-mail you sent," Fred said from where she was leaning against Jeannie as they shared one of the lounge chairs. "There's some amazing information there. Jeannie and I think we might be able to implement it."
