Carson looked up at Cait as she ran her fingers through his hair, causing shivers to run down his spine. He always loved how it felt when she caressed his scalp.
"I love you too," he whispered before looking at her stomach again and placing a kiss just below her belly button. "And I love you."
When she yawned, obviously tired, he moved and wrapped his arm around her so she could snuggle against him. At her comment about Parrish, he shook his head in amusement. He wished Parrish wouldn't be so worried about things. He knew Cait loved him, and he had absolutely no problem with her having male friends. After all, his wife was her own person.
"I know. I'm sure you'll get the machine taken care of tomorrow in time with both of you working on it." After giving her a soft kiss, he stretched out and reach over to turn off the light. "Goodnight, love."
