Caitlin allowed Carson to pull her down into his lap and snuggled against him. Closing her eyes, she felt all her frustration and stress melt away. Carson could make anything better. Raising her head, she returned his kiss before letting out a long sigh. "Apparently Keller took the DNA machine out on a mission," she said before shaking her head. "It wouldn't turn on so I crawled under it to see if the crystals were working and I found an entire compartment full of dirt."
She knew there was nothing she could do about it now. Keller was long gone - apparently having gone back to Wisconsin so she could be closer to her father. Shrugging a bit, she nuzzled Carson's neck and smiled. He always smelled so good and it made her even more relaxed. "But besides that, the lab is done. I just need to do a few things here and there, and write a report for Hosehead Woosley, but it's done," she said.
Caitlin tilted her head and deeply kissed her husband for several moments before pulling back. She laid her forehead against his and smiled. "Thanks for making me feel better," she whispered before she kissed the tip of his nose. "How has your day been?" she asked. "Get everything done? Need any help with anything? I really want to spend the rest of the evening with you, even if it's doing work. Or we could get something to eat and go hide in our quarters for the rest of the night. Up to you, my love."
