IC/OOC - Halloween Masquerade Ball

Halloween Masquerade Ball!

Welcome to the Halloween Masquerade Ball! Yes, proper attire is encouraged, if you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you upon entry.

Welcome to Blake Park, everyone! To coincide with the Autumn Festival, this year's Halloween Masquerade Ball will take place in Blake Park. A large outdoor reception hall will be constructed with a bar, tables, and a large dancefloor.

Some of the Autumn Festival features will still be up and running! Enjoy a cozy carriage ride through the orchard that now has twinkling lights for that aesthetic glow. Take a tour through the Corn Maze, and a haunted house has been created for your spooky scare needs! There's also a photo booth available to capture the moment.

The reception hall itself will also host holographic musicians to provide the musical mood for the evening. The music will be a mixture of classical as well as Halloween favorites! Everyone knows the Thriller dance, right?

The Magic

Witch's Brew Punch
This sparkly deep purple drink will turn your skin well, sparkly deep purple! Don't worry, it lasts for 15 minutes.

Vampire's Kiss Wine
Did you have a glass? This drink will give you the urge to grab someone for a dance, someone you have affection for. (It doesn't have to be romantic!) It lasts through one dance.

Margarita of the Dead
Did you have this? You'll tell Halloween-themed puns/jokes for 5 minutes!

Graveyard Green Sangria
If you have this one, you float into the air, ghost-like! It only lasts 15 minutes, so try not to float too high!

Pietro Maximoff went with Dick, of course! Friends, feel free to notice they did a sort of 'couple's theme' wearing the other's signature colors. Pietro wore a black suit with a blue tie and a blue mask.

Su Li went stag. She wore this dress with this mask.

Hannah Abbott also went stag. She wore this dress with this mask.

Darcy Lewis went with Bones! She wore this dress with this mask.

Pietro had a Margarita of the Dead, perfect, he tells corny Halloween pun/jokes for 5 minutes! He's mostly dancing with Dick, but he will save a few for friends!

Su had a Witch's Brew Punch, she finds it fascinating that her skin changes and will be a little sad when it's gone. She will happily dance/chat with people.

Hannah had a Graveyard Green Sangria, and Hannah is not a fan of heights, so she freaks out a little. She'll happily chat and dance with friends, and happy to meet new people and dance with them as well!
Darcy had a Vampire's Kiss Wine, she's absolutely grabbing Bones! She'll dance with friends too.

And of course, Emmeline isn't going, hanging out with the other Marauders, getting drunk and doing karaoke.

I'm only doing outfits for the ladies since men are kind of boring to dress but all my guys were there and wore some sort of suit and the ones that had a date had a tie that matched whatever their date was wearing.

Mara came with Cassian and was wearing this with this mask. She didn't have anything to drink because preggo but was friendly and danced with whoever asked.

Yelena came, probably with Kate and Natasha, talked to everybody she knew. drank a Margarita and told really bad jokes. She was dressed in this and this

Oliver was with Clarke of course, avoided dancing as much as possible because he sucks at it. He was friendly, spent some time with Tommy and Laurel if they were there, drank the drink that turns you purple because that idea amuses me.

Christine came with Erica. She looked lovely in this and this mask. Danced a lot and was friendly to everyone.

Leanne came alone but spent time with friends. She was wearing this and this. Had the wine and grabbed someone for a dance. Volunteers?

Cisco and Sam were stag. Both looked nice of course, were friendly and had a good time. Cisco drank a margarita and told bad jokes, Sam drank the wine and found someone to dance with. Volunteers to dance with Sam?

Jyn was with Tonks I assume. She was wearing this and this. Was friendly, had fun.

Violet came with Xaden, wearing this dress and mask. I seriously doubt they stayed very long given what she was wearing and knowing how they are but they had fun while they were there!

Quentin was with Rey. He drank the drink that turns you into a ghost for 15 minutes.
Marty would have been with Eloise I assume? He was friendly and had a good time.
Ross was with Abby unless she was working (he says she'd better not be...lol)

Attending:

Mazikeen wasn't going to miss Halloween. She turned up in a suit and didn't bother with a mask because she wears one on the daily anyway to cover her demon face. Maze stuck to whiskey, so no side effects, and would have told everyone it's her birthday so bring her gifts.

Jason Tood went with Hope Mikaelson. They were in matching costumes and wore masks (I can't remember what though, so no pics, sorry). He had a Vampire's Kiss Wine and a Margarita of the Dead - mostly cause he liked the names. He'll chat and dance with friends and family.

Leonard Snart came along with Ray Palmer and wore this suit and this mask. He may or may not have amused himself by stealing wallets - mostly Ray's cause it's funny to watch the Eagle Scout fluster. He would have tried a Graveyard Green Sangria but didn't finish the drink so didn't float as long as what he would have if he had finished it. After that he switched to beer.

John Constantine was dragged along by Rosa Diaz - although, if you see what she's wearing, it didn't take much to convince him. He wore his usual attire and teamed it with a black rose mask that matched his date's. He would have had a Witch's Brew Punch and be amused by the purple skin.

Charlie Bradbury opted to go for fun and formal in a cute orange suit with a fancy blue mask. She showed up with her entourage of Starbuck and Dean Winchester but was also open to meet and dance with others. She would have also tried the Witch's Brew Punch.

Cameron Mahkent asked Courtney Whitmore to the ball - making up for Homecoming and Prom and any other school dance they missed because the hero life interrupted. He wore a grey suit with a navy tie and made his own icy mask using his ice powers. And, of course, he gifted his beautiful date a corsage. Cameron didn't have any of the drinks, sticking to the non alcoholic options.

Not in Attendance:

Sirius Black, who rejects this "holiday" and spent time with his people. Mostly Lily. Sorry, not sorry, Evans. You're going to have a big black dog following you 'round and giving all the snuggles.

Elijah Mikaelson - he didn't want to go. Simple as that.

Daisy maybe dragged Sousa? Otherwise is stag.
Erica came with Christine
Jacen probably came alone? Unless someone asked him!
Jack probably came alone? Unless someone asked him!
Kate came as friends with Yelena (and Nat?)
Katie probably tried to get Elijah to come but was ok going alone since he didn’t want to!
Klaus would have asked Cami to attend on his arm
Remus did not attend, he was with his friends doing karaoke and probably brooding

Thor came with PJ, I assume!
Xaden came with Violet

tldr; Remus is the only one who didn’t come. All are open for dances and other shenanigans.

Rosa attended with Constantine and wore a mask more in alignment with her roots. She had Vampire's Kiss wine and while she would dance with John for the most part, she may grab friends and colleagues too.

Starbuck flew as wingman for Charlie and Dean and paired a plain gold mask with an accented suit. He had the Graveyard Green Sangria and was endlessly amused by floating.

Dean allowed Charlie to choose his suit and they clashed nicely, even more so when he had a Witch's Brew Punch. His mask was a simple black one provided at the door.

Bucky pushed at the dress code boundaries a little, not feeling the whole Tux thing tonight. He's there to be sociable for Steve and Sam mostly. Enjoy his puns after he finishes his Margarita of the Dead.

Courtney attended with Cameron and this was their Prom and Homecoming all rolled into one. Her mask colour was a nod to her superhero persona, and if they were there she would have taken Jeron and Morgan through the corn maze and haunted house! (She'll be introducing Cam to all her friends too!)

Ray collected Leonard on his way to the party and wore a tailored black suit with a twist and a matching mask. He stuck to dark rum and coke for most of the evening, but did try a Vampire's Kiss Wine toward the end of the night.

Dick was there with his gorgeous boyfriend and matched Pietro's colour scheme with his mask and shoes.

Bones went with Darcy and wore a familiar colour with a relatively simple mask. He'd mix with his Starfleet fam and Darcy's friends mostly.

Mav was there, so what if he wore the same thing last year, he finished the look with a white and gold mask. Friends, find him and have fun!

Derek was encouraged out of the door by Talia and grabbed something from the closet that was reasonably smart. The mask that appeared on his face as soon as he arrived made up for it. (Thanks Atlantis magic.)
