God, she hated that response. 'I could say the same for you.' It was a bit humiliating, really, to be put in that place. The untold assumption that they knew how she operated, how she thought, what she was doing. Also, she was upset that she didn't see it coming.
"Well, it's not really the Witching Hour without a Witch." It had a bit of bite to it, a snarky comment to try and avoid actually answering the question. But then she sighed. Soldiers were never the kind to take jokes or sarcasm, really.
