"Alright then, Mister Jones," The Doctor replied easily to Ianto's less than favorable reaction to the nickname. It gave him some secret pleasure, however, and he smiled up at the sky as he walked. "Two Doctors? Could very well be. It's happened before, but not two-- there were more. Well! Look at that! I've rhymed! How stupid can you get?" After the little jibe at himself, he was glancing aside at Jack again. "Us Torchwood types? Joined up with the cause then, have you, Jack? And all because of a pretty boy in a suit?"
Even as he said that, he was turning his head to smile over at Ianto, he was having too much fun with this, and it was obvious. "He does that sometimes, wines and dines, but it's all a means to and end, so careful he doesn't try and take you out dancing. He's a fifty-first century man, that one. Likes to take all manner of things out dancing." And it was very clear, by the way he said 'dancing' that he didn't mean it in the literal sense of the word.
"Now come on, let's pick up the pace, we're getting closer. So much to do." Though, even as he said that, he directed his attention briefly to Ianto again, and though it didn't remain there long, his next question was still directed at the youngest of the trio. "Torchwood has a Canada chapter now, does it? Or are you here vacationing with Captain, though he's not really a Captain, Jack?" It was clear that he was a little on the nervous side, perhaps a little worried, as well. Because he was taking every opportunity to poke fun at Jack and his companion. At least he wasn't making fun of their species yet.
