If Jack was disposed to anything as foolish as blushing, he knew he would have been. As it was, all the reaction the Doctor received was an exaggerated rolling of his eyes at the 'Plus One' comment. Yes, this was going to go over very well. Taking in account the fact that Ianto was Torchwood One trained? This was going to be one hell of an evening. Jack gave the Doctor a slow smile, playfully giving him the a-typical Jack-once-over. "Not all of us Torchwood types look at you the same way," Jack said, dropping that little bombshell as casually as if they were sitting around the table and he'd asked for the salt.
Jack almost felt bad for Ianto, to be stuck between two men cut from nearly the same cloth when it came to sense of humours. "Two TARDISs. Either this is my lucky day or things are about to go very wrong." Jack shook his head, picking up his pace once more and motioning for Ianto to join with them. "Right, because facing paradoxes is always fun."
Yet the look in Jack's eye said he couldn't be more pleased to be running off and into danger, the Doctor at his front and Ianto behind. This was the sort of adventure he'd been missing in Cardiff. Flotsam and jetsam could only get so interesting and after a while Jack tired of Rift trash. It was all explainable after a time. This, however, seemed unexplainable and that made Jack practically giddy.
"Two Doctors?" Jack suddenly had the vision of meeting the two men he'd had the pleasure of travelling with over the years. No, that was going to be bloody impossible -- wonderful if it was true, but absolutely impossible. "I don't think the universes could handle two of you in existence at the same time," Jack ribbed. "One is almost more than enough."
He was going to have to mention that Rose was here and staying with him soon, wasn't he?
