"Leaving you behind? Not if you're going to be worth your weight this time around." He was smiling over at Jack again, eyebrows lifting high into his forehead in the classic smile. "And I'm not stuck, I'm only pausing to take a look around. The TARDIS needs a bit of time to cool down and I'll be back on my way in no time, just as soon as I find out about this singing.." Something that he seemed very intent and focused on.
But then Jack was speaking again. "Another TARDIS signal?" Blue eyes were drawn back to the Captain, as he jogged back up to his side. "There is only one TARDIS.. but there is something going on here." There was another Time Lord. It was entirely possible that it was another incarnation of himself.. that had happened before, but that had been a special case, it hadn't been some tiny town in Canada in the beginning of the twenty-first century. "I'm hoping to meet a friend but expecting to meet an enemy. What sort of question is that? I'm not sure what I'm walking into, I never am, but I do it anyway. And here you are, joining me. Glad to have you, Jack--" But then he was being tugged to a sudden stop, and the Doctor nearly pulled away, but then he caught the tone in the other man's voice.
This must have been the human male. The one who's captured the attention of the playboy conman. So it was no surprise that another smile broke out on the Doctor's face as the suited man came jogging over to them. "Is that him, then? Your potted plant?" Another jab, but it was all in good fun, and the Doctor was in surprisingly good spirits, considering the situation.
