The jab at his sexuality didn't phase Jack one bit. He had enjoyed both incarnations he'd known and for different reasons. He loved the cheekiness of Ten but the bluntness of Nine was also wonderful. Grinning, Jack leaned forward and pressed an obnoxiously loud kiss to Nine's cheek. "As fun dates as a couple of potted plants were a few years back, the species is human for once. Masculine. And brews one helluva pot of coffee."
Singing? Well... that was a new one. Jack released the Doctor, flipping open his wrist strap and punching a few buttons, trying to get a train on a signal. Strangely, he had the same echo of the TARDIS but coming from across town. Now that made absolutely no sense to him whatsoever. Because the TARDIS was only behind him, not also in front. "The hell?" Jack muttered under his breath, frowning. He punched the same series of buttons and received the same readout. Impossible.
"No, not that I've discovered yet," Jack replied. "A couple nearer in town, but nothing out here." He paused, noting what direction they were walking in. "Where do you hear it coming from?"
