Jack couldn't help but roll his eyes. "What's in Canada? Outside of moose and a lot of trees, just us," Jack replied. And Rose, though he kept his lips sealed on that one. With people coming from all different times it was impossible to know who was from where. Jack had no way of knowing when the Doctor's regeneration occurred, only that it did. Oi. This was the last thing he needed. More bloody time paradoxes.
"All right, what are you focusing on as it sure as hell doesn't look like me." Jack feigned a pout, clapping the Doctor on the shoulder. "Particularly as I've never not been able to command the attention of an entire room. You'll wound my pride carrying on like that." His hand squeezed ever so slightly, the smile returning to his face after a moment. "I came here. I... figured out that..." Jack almost toed at the ground uncomfortably. He was sure the Doctor would have qutie a laugh at his expense over the notion of Jack 'settling down'. "An acquaintance was here," he finally said in the end.
Jack followed the Doctor, brow furrowing as he shoved one hand into the pocket of his greatcoat, the other resting on his holster. "What is it? What do you hear?"
