"Canada? What's in Canada?" The Doctor was equally as perplexed (and somehow annoyed) by the fact that they were in such a dull, empty place. He could have been anywhere, fighting anything, meeting anyone.. but he was here. In Canada. In two-thousand nine. Why? And why was Jack here? How had he even gotten here? Why did it matter? It could matter later. And the Doctor was flashing him another brilliant smile.
"Right, you look fantastic." The tone was clearly amused, but pleased to be not in the crashing TARDIS and, you know, not dead. That was always a plus. He turned to look back at the TARDIS once more before giving Jack his complete and utter attention (not really, of course, but at least it looked like it). "Right. Then how is it that you've ended up here in Canada?" Okay, attention lost, and the last remaining Time Lord was moving further into the park, making note of the changes, and pulling his jacket a bit tighter around himself as he moved. It was chilly.
"It can't simply be coincidence that the TARDIS landed herself here, there has to be a reason for it." There was a reason for everything. Always. But why couldn't he figure it out..? And where was that singing coming from? He was heading in that direction now. Towards the haunting song. Towards the voice.
